Warts, cysts, fatty lumps in or under
the skin are generally not serious but should be removed before that grow
large or turn into something nasty.
We usually describe the size of a lump in terms of fruits and nuts. For cysts and fatty lumps we want to be removing grapes - not apples or
melons!
For warts we want small peas not walnuts!!
To help us find all the lumps and bumps during surgery we are always
grateful to owners who draw a diagram of their pet and the location of the
growths, or, on the day of surgery, mark them clearly with Tipp-Ex or
lipstick.
Here are a few fine examples of these drawing presented to us
during the last year or so.
