Neutering a Male Dog - routine castration has many health benefits
including prevention of testicular tumours, prostatic disease, anal tumours.
It even reduced the likelihood of being hit by a car, or attacked by another dog.


Premed - sedation to allow a calm anaesthetic induction


Intravenous catheter placement (see the blood appearing as we enter the vein)

Fixing the catheter in place for i/v fliuid therapy and to provide i/v
access during anaesthetic.Placement of the endotracheal (ET)
tube to provide a safe airway for gas anaethesia.


Tying the ET tube in place and setting up Pulse Oxymeter
 and Doppler pulse monitor.


Preparing the operation site. Ligation and removal of the right testicle.

Removal of the left testicle and closure of the skin with dissolving sutures.

Insertion of Identichip (optional)
